It’s a Monday and Lynn isn’t feeling super great, as Mondays tend to do. And overall, the current state of dysfunction on Congress is driving her crazy that she isn’t sure what to say. However, while she couldn’t go to Pittsburgh’s own women’s march, she was amazed at the turnout, which was about 5,000 more people than last year for roughly 30,000 attendees. Lynn has a guest call in who knows more about the march, and who shares its goal of transferring grassroots energy into electoral results.
Speaking of which, you live in McKeesport or some other towns in the Mon Valley, you might have a special election tomorrow for state house. So make sure you start local and go vote in the 35th Pa. House District!
Finally, as she tries to preserve her outrage, Lynn is spending some time on US history, looking over some of the worst presidents of US history, from Pa. native James Buchanan to Andrew Johnson to, perhaps, Donald John Trump.

Last year, there was a contraversy in Pittsburgh over intersectionality. I chose not to go because of it. The organizers ignored, and even suppressed input from African Americans. The “I don’t know why they had it on Saturday instead of Sunday,” is a blow in the face to many, many people. Pittsburgh has a long tradition of celebrating Martin Luther King on this weekend. The black vote changed the elections in the south, and I think you had better show the black vote more consideration if you want to win any election. I was glad to be there this year. I am also Green, and the Green party has a ticket in the primaries in Ohio. I became Green by asking for one. Democrats are selling out on the majority (Bernie Sanders), on DREAMERS and on African Americans. I know you can’t research every podcast thoroughly, but blowing the reasoning off for the Pittsburgh Sister March being on Sunday for “some other event,” was a big mistake.
