To quote Winston Churchill, “In defeat, defiance.” The American people yesterday did something astonishingly reckless and destructive, electing a convicted felon and incompetent president to another term. The alternative was electing the first woman president. A competent Black woman. Apparently a bridge too far. To quote FDR, this is “a day that will live in infamy.” And lets forever bury the oft-used sentence, “This is not who we are.” Apparently, it is.
