On a deceivingly cold night at Heinz Field, the snow didn’t fall from the sky, but the interceptions sure did for “Duck Hodges,” including his fourth and final one in the endzone at the end of the game to clinch the win for Buffalo.
Pittsburgh’s defense played lights out, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the lack of playmaking on the other side of the ball. A couple of offsides calls that did not go the Steelers way also played a fairly significant role in the outcome.
On a positive note though, history was made tonight in the NFL. Three Edmunds brothers — Tremaine Edmunds #49 of the Buffalo Bills, Trey Edmunds #33, and Terrell Edmunds #34 of the Pittsburgh Steelers — were all active in the game for the first time since 1927 when the Rooney brothers all played in a game for the team from Duluth.
Pittsburgh currently sits in the 6th seed with a chance at the Wild Card playoff spot but will need to secure some wins against the Jets and Ravens to hold onto that opportunity.
