National Artists-in-Residence. Contemporary Craft’s National Residency program supports artists working in small metals, jewelry, fibers, weaving, papermaking, book arts, and small-scale woodworking. Program Coordinator (Literary Events & Festivals). City of Asylum. To give an idea of the scope of one of City of Asylum’s festivals, the 2024 Jazz Poetry Festival consisted of 7 events involving 58 poets and musicians. The Program Coordinator is a member of the 4-person Programming Department. This person is responsible for event preparations, artist communications, and event execution for City of Asylum’s Literary Programs & Festivals, of which there are about 60 per year. Front of the House – Ambassador. Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Front-of-House Ambassadors assist theater patrons and support traffic flow, seating, and facility security at performances scheduled at various Trust facilities. Ambassadors are scheduled to work for the duration of an event, typically between four and six hours. These individuals work cooperatively with House Managers, Floor Managers and other event personnel to ensure guest safety, comfort, and enjoyment while visiting Trust venues and/or attending Trust shows or events.
