A month or two ago, I ran into Brian from Satin Gum at a show, and I asked if they had something new coming out, and he said yes, but he wasn’t sure if I’d like it. Then he followed up with: “Do you like the Rolling Stones? If you like the Rolling Stones, you might like it.” That’s kind of like asking if you like sunny days. SURE, I like the goddam Rolling Stones, Brian.
Anyway: He’s right in saying that the new stuff sounds different. It’s louder, more bluesy, and the vocals are more gruff — almost Lemmy-ish. But it’s good. I like this song. Download it: Satin Gum — “I’m Just a Dog”
