Preserving Underground in New Kensington hosted Kaiju Big Battel, an epic wrestling performance featuring monsters in elaborate costumes on Nov. 2, 2024. Rand Borden, the group’s creator describes Kaiju Big Battel as “a modern conflict of epic proportions. Evil villains, menacing alien beasts, and giant, city-crushing monsters threaten to destroy the planet Earth. Who will save the helpless humans from total ruin? The Heroes, of course.” Founded in New York in 1994, Kaiju Big Battel has performed all over the world including London and Tokyo.
