Yes, Phil Collins is still alive.

The legendary British rock singer, formerly of Genesis and now an accomplished solo artist, brought his Still Not Dead Yet, Live! 15-city tour to Pittsburgh last night in front of a packed crowd at PPG Paints Arena.

Collin’s performance was a wonderful experience for any fan, whether you were a fan of the artist’s years with Genesis or his solo career. Though he has many physical limitations these days after years of personal health battles, his voice remains in good shape. It was particularly great to see his son, Nic, who is very talented in his own right, take over the role of drummer on this tour.

Stand-out moments included a lovely rendition of “You Know What I Mean” with Nic accompanying his father on piano, as well as a beautiful duet with backup singer, Bridgette Bryant, for “Separate Lives.”

Perhaps the most touching part of the evening, as well as one of Collin’s shining moments on vocals, was “Follow You, Follow Me,” where a video montage capturing a lifetime of experiences with Genesis is played on a screen behind the band.
