Wristband required for outdoor alcohol. 5801videolounge.com – Hit the streets of Shadyside when 5801 Video Lounge & Café presents its Pride Happy Hour and Block Party. Maryland Ave. will be closed beside 5801 so you can enjoy food vendors, music by DJ Nugget, stage performances, and a street bar. There will also be drink specials and giveaways. All proceeds from the sale of outdoor drinking wristbands will go toward the Persad Center and Steel City Softball League.

People’s Pride at First Friday. 7 p.m.-1 a.m. 5120 Penn Ave., Bloomfield. Free. sisterspgh.org – SisTers PGH and True T PGH throw a People’s Pride benefit celebration with great food, art, and, of course, dancing. Head upstairs for a party with music by DJs Amos and Scotty and the Mayday Brass Band. Downstairs, enjoy homemade empanadas and Pieces of Queer History of Pittsburgh, an art exhibit highlighting queer history and art in Pittsburgh, as well as an arts market with work by local artists. All proceeds will go toward creating protest art for People’s Pride 2019.

Bad Girls Benefit at Belvederes Ultra-Dive. 9 p.m.-2 a.m. 4016 Butler St., Lawrenceville. belvederesultradive.com – Bad girls do it well during a benefit dance event at Belvederes Ultra-Dive. DJs Femi, Eyejay, Gunray, and Killjoy play a variety of hits from Beyoncé, Santigold, Arianna Grande, Missy Elliot, Janelle Monae, and more, all to raise money for Access Reproductive Care – Southeast, an organization that creates pathways to safe, affordable reproductive care for people in the Southern U.S.

Sappho People’s Pride at P Town. 10 p.m-2 a.m. 4740 Baum Blvd., Oakland. $5. ptownbar.com – People’s Pride festivities continue when Sappho and SisTers PGH present a benefit dance night at P Town. Hosted by Sassy Suggestions, Freeter, Theodore Rexx, Mary Mack, and VJ PDF, the event will raise funds for the Let’s Get Free, Women & Trans Prisoner Defense Committee, an organization that raises awareness of the gender-based violence that contributes to the incarceration of women and trans people. No one will be turned away from this event, cover or no cover.
