Lynn mourned the loss of musical satirist Tom Lehrer whose songs delighted a huge audience in the fifties and sixties. She shared the lyrics to two, the controversial “The Vatican Rag” and “National Brotherhood Week.” She also shared Lehrer’s quote when asked why he stopped writing his songs. “Political satire became obsolete when Henry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize,” he explained. Perfect.
